4-H & Youth

Iowa 4-H Youth Development is the premier youth development program of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. Providing research-based education to K-12 youth, Iowa 4-H focuses on Healthy Living, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), Leadership and Civic Engagement, and Communication and the Arts. Iowa 4-H builds upon more than a century of experience in positive youth development partnering with youth to help them find their passion. If you need help creating an account or understanding how to use 4HOnline, help sheets are available below or you may call 712-243-1132 or stop by the Extension Office and we will help you!

Cass County 4-H Endowment

The 2024 Annual Pancake Supper was Tuesday, March 12th 4:30-7:30pm. Thank you for the generosity of our community for eating pancakes, donating silent auction items, and bidding we broke our fundraising goal. All proceeds go to the Cass County 4-H program. 

Out-of-County Grant Application - Due one month prior to attending an out of county event. Any Cass County 4-Her can make a request

Senior Scholarship Application - Due April 1, 2024. Committee is reviewing applications. Youth will find out at their School's Class Night final selection. 

Summer Conservation Day Camps

Library Programs! Visit the community libraries this summer for programs. Cass County Extension is hosting 2 programs at each library in the month of June!

Wild for Water: Youth will learn about how precious of a resource water is to us on Earth. We will explore uses of water and the different phases water goes through.

Wonderful Wind: Youth will make predictions and explore which objects will blow in the wind or not. Youth will leave with their very own windsock!
