County Services

County Services is a unit of ISU Extension and Outreach. County Services provides the support, expertise, and resources of Iowa’s land grant university to extension districts for county-based educational programs. It is the goal of County Services to provide education and build partnerships designed to help Iowans solve todays’ problems and prepare for the future. (Extension districts are established by Iowa Code, Chapter 176A and act in agreement with Iowa State University and the USDA as stated in Memorandums of Understanding.)

Role of Regional Directors

Regional directors provide leadership, vision and coaching to county extension councils and staff to meet the programmatic, legal and financial needs of the system. Their work strengthens the partnership between Iowa State University and county extension districts resulting in improved institutional outreach and higher quality of life for all Iowans.
