SWITCH is an evidence-based obesity prevention program designed to help students adopt healthy lifestyles – both in school and at home. Through SWITCH, students learn to ‘switch what they Do, View, and Chew’.
The SWITCH program provides a systematic method to help schools develop strategies to plan, implement and operate school wellness programs on their own – with additional support provided through partnership with ISU Extension and Outreach, Iowa 4-H. The regional network of Youth Programming Specialists is specifically positioned to partner with County Youth Coordinators (CYC’s) to facilitate programming in schools. See the associated tabs and links on this page for more information.
