Mentoring Program

The ISU Extension and Outreach Organizational Mentor Program was created to support new and seasoned professionals' engagement and growth in a mentoring program during their first year as an ISU Extension and Outreach employee. Mentors are nominated by a supervisor to participate in the mentor program.  The Mentor Academy is a two-day workshop to provide comprehensive, multi-aspect training that prepares experienced ISU Extension and Outreach professionals to serve as mentors to new Extension and Outreach colleagues. In addition to the Mentor Academy, we also provide quarterly Mentor Learning Circles for our trained mentors. If you have questions about the ISU Extension and Outreach Organizational Mentor Program or you have a new employee that you would like matched with one of our trained mentors, please contact Professional Development Program Specialist Gayle Coon. Below are resources as you explore the Mentoring Program.
