SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach’s annual STEM Fest at Dordt College will begin accepting registrations on Jan. 21. The Spring STEM Fest will be held Saturday, Feb. 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Dordt College in Sioux Center. STEM Fest is open to all area 4th through 8th grade students, but maximum capacity is 200 students. The event offers youth an opportunity to take part in multiple hands-on applications of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is currently accepting applications for three summer educator positions in the areas of STEM, Robotics and Family and Consumer Sciences. These three individuals will serve Lyon, Osceola, Sioux, O'Brien and Cherokee Counties from May 22, 2019 through August 14, 2019. For first review, a cover letter, resume and three professional references must be submitted to Laura Beyenhof at beyenhof@iastate.edu by Friday, Feb. 1.
