MakerMondays

Do you like to be creative?  Want to learn new skills?  Like making things?  Anyone in 4th-12th grade is invited to attend our FREE Maker Mondays this year!  Workshops will be held at the Extension office once per month.  Click the link above for dates and details!

We are currently seeking applicants for our 4-H Summer Youth Assistant position.  This position is responsible for the planning and implementation of Mahaska County 4-H Summer Fun Day Camps and assisting with various 4-H events and activities throughout the summer, including the Southern Iowa Fair.  Applications will be accepted until January 30, 2020.

The Maker Club will meet every Thursday in February!  Lots of great activities are being planned!  Registration is limited to 20 and we must have at least 8 in order to hold each session.  $10 registration fee per session or $35 for all.  Open to anyone in 4th-12th grade.  Partial funding provided by United Way of Mahaska County.

    Every June, almost 900 teenagers converge on the campus of Iowa State University for 3 days full of speakers, workshops, mixers, dances, a banquet, and community service activities. 

  • Provides opportunities for youth to demonstrate, learn and apply project and communication skills. Every year the 4-H Exhibits Building features well over 3,000 exhibits and Livestock shows engage more than ## youth.

  • Youth and teens can discover opportunities to be recognized for personal growth, project learning, leadership and citizenship. 

  • Clover Kids is a FUN 4-H program for children in kindergarten through third grade. Children participate in hands-on activities designed to build many life skills!
