Pollinator Walk Series
March 18, 2021

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Lee County is collaborating with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Lee County Conservation, Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever to offer a Pollinator Walk Series for the following dates: April 17, June 26 and August 28. All sessions will be held on Saturday’s from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Wilson Lake, 2195 220th Street, Donnellson, IA.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Lee County is offering a five-session course of Women Managing for Today and Tomorrow program. This program will discuss decisions made during business, estate, retirement, and succession planning to form a farm transition plan. Classes will be held on Mondays starting March 8 and continuing March 15, March 22, March 29 and April 5 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Lee County Extension Office, 414 North Main Street, Donnellson, IA. A light meal will be serve at 5:30 pm.

Read Across Iowa
February 11, 2021

AMES, Iowa – Read Across Iowa will launch March 1 and begin a month-long celebration to bring the joys of reading to kids of all ages. Agriculturally themed Read Across Iowa events will be held in Lee County and across the state and will feature books and materials about agriculture that will appeal to all readers.

The summer intern is responsible for providing assistance to county staff in the areas of programming, customer service, and public relations/marketing. This position is temporary (approximately June 1 to August 22, 2021) part time (approximately 400 hours) under the supervision of the Program Coordinator.

Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach will offer several online trainings for child care providers this winter. Each training will be offered at two different times and taught by ISU Extension and Outreach Human Sciences Specialists.
