Iowans can learn how to “Preserve the Taste of Summer” during a hands-on workshop from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Lee County. The Preserve the Taste of Summer: Salsa Making workshop is planned for Thursday, August 5 at the Learning Center, 1100 N. Main Street, Donnellson. A light meal will be served at 5:00 p.m. and the workshop will be held from 5:30 to 9:00 pm.

May 4, 2021

ISU Extension and Outreach of Lee County is hosting a Farm Estate/Farm Succession Planning Meeting on Wednesday, June 16 starting at 5:30 pm at the Lee County Extension Office in Donnellson (414 North Main Street). A light meal will be provided at 5:00 pm. This meeting is an introduction to farm estate planning, an exercise to get things started.  

Pollinator Walk Series
March 18, 2021

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Lee County is collaborating with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Lee County Conservation, Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever to offer a Pollinator Walk Series for the following dates: April 17, June 26 and August 28. All sessions will be held on Saturday’s from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Wilson Lake, 2195 220th Street, Donnellson, IA.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Lee County is offering a five-session course of Women Managing for Today and Tomorrow program. This program will discuss decisions made during business, estate, retirement, and succession planning to form a farm transition plan. Classes will be held on Mondays starting March 8 and continuing March 15, March 22, March 29 and April 5 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Lee County Extension Office, 414 North Main Street, Donnellson, IA. A light meal will be serve at 5:30 pm.
