WHITE AND BLACK BARN SCENE

Join us for a Transitioning to Farming gathering on December 5th. Dr. Chad Hart, Extension Crops Marketing Economist, Dr. Lee Schultz, Extension Livestock Marketing Economist, and Dr. Wendong Zhang, Extension Economist specializing in farmland values will be joining us for this gathering to discuss the current ag market conditions, the expected trends in crop and livestock income potential and management implications, and farmland values.

Lee County Extension will be hosting a Private Pesticide Applicator Continuing Instruction Course on December 19, 2018 at 9:30 am or 1:30 pm and February 19, 2019 at 1:30 PM. It will be held at the Pilot Grove Community Room in Donnellson. For more information please call 319-835-5116.

Lower Skunk Field Day Flyer
November 8, 2018

Iowa Learning Farms, along with the Lower Skunk Water Quality and Soil Health Initiative and Henry County Soil and Water Conservation District, will host a cover crops and saturated buffer field day on Wednesday, November 28th from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Hillsboro Community Center. The event is free, open to the whole family and includes a complimentary meal.

Building Healthy Relationships

When a couple has a strong, stable relationship, they can build a healthy foundation for their family. That’s the message of Healthy Relationship Education Training. ISU Extension and Outreach recently offered the training to Iowa State ROTC students who will serve as leaders in the military after graduation.
