Donnellson, Iowa – Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Lee County office will host an Aquatic, Forest and Right-of-Way Continuing Instruction Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019. The program provided by the ISU Extension and Outreach Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP) can be seen at office locations across Iowa.

National 4-H week is upon us and Lee County 4-H Youth have a lot to be proud of! Over the last year, the local Lee County 4-H Clubs participated in the Lee County Fair and worked on community service projects. They also held fundraisers to pay enrollment fees and to fund group social events such as Countywide 4-H Banquet, project nights, bonfires, pizza parties and roller skating outings.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and the Natural Resources Conservation Service will host a Pasture Walk on Thursday, October 10 from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Event will be held at the Jeff Buford’s Farm in Donnellson, near 1638 230th Street. This event is for anyone who is interested in learning about soil health, cost share assistance for grazing systems and developing a grazing plan.

Extension Artists Inspire Iowans, Celebrate State Parks

Jennifer Drinkwater and Clark Colby are artists, Iowa State faculty and program specialists with ISU Extension and Outreach. They are participating in Iowa's 20 Artists, 20 Parks project commemorating the 100th anniversary of Iowa State Parks during 2020.
