Iowa 4-H and the County Youth Coordinator focus on Positive Youth Development. The County Youth Coordinator will work with youth, volunteers, and professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate a progressive series of educational programs and experiences that work toward multiple life skill outcomes. This position should empower youth to reach their full potential through Youth Adult Partnerships and research-based experiences.

Kyle Moeller

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Lee County has named a new Office Assistant – Kyle Moeller of Mt. Pleasant. Moeller has previous experience with Northeast Animal Hospital and Cross Roads RV Park. Moeller graduated from Southeastern Community College with a degree in Modern Food Production, Agriculture, and the Environment. Moeller is most excited to work in a neighboring county and experience the opportunities Lee County Extension provides to their community.

Youth Test Skills, Learn about Wildlife Habitat

The Wildlife Habitat Education Program offers young Iowans hands-on environmental education. They learn about the importance of conservation management and how to be stewards of the land. Youth also have an opportunity to test their wildlife knowledge in friendly competition in state and national contests.
