With unpredictable crop prices and tight margins, marketing can make the difference in the profitability of corn and soybean production. How well farmers get paid for a year’s worth of work can be wrapped up in just a few marketing decisions. With this in mind Henry County Extension is offering the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Women in Agriculture Women Marketing Grain course.

Lee County Extension will be hosting a Private Pesticide Applicator Continuing Instruction Course on December 19, 2018 at 9:30 am or 1:30 pm and February 19, 2019 at 1:30 PM. It will be held at the Pilot Grove Community Room in Donnellson. For more information please call 319-835-5116.

Wellbeing isn’t something to achieve and check off a bucket list. Instead, it’s an ongoing journey that varies with each person. Iowans can find their own way in a new program from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Lee County. 
 
“What About Me? My Wellbeing” is a four-week educational workshop series beginning October 23rd in Keokuk.  The introductory, research-based program covers taking time for oneself, relationships, finances and physical health. Each workshop is 45 minutes and begins at noon at the Hoerner YMCA. The remaining workshops are set for October 30th and November 6th and 13th.  Lunch will be provided by the Hoerner YMCA.

Building Healthy Relationships

When a couple has a strong, stable relationship, they can build a healthy foundation for their family. That’s the message of Healthy Relationship Education Training. ISU Extension and Outreach recently offered the training to Iowa State ROTC students who will serve as leaders in the military after graduation.
