Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Lee County is seeking a detail oriented, organized individual with strong teaching skills to work in a supportive team environment. Experience with nutrition and wellness programming, knowledge of gardening and healthy food preparation required. Ability to work with under-served audiences.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Lee County will host a Planting to Preserve Fruit and Vegetable Gardening class on Thursday, March 5 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Class will be held at the Lee County Extension Office, 414 North Main Street, Donnellson. This class is for anyone who is interested in learning more about gardening basics.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Lee County is hosting an Advanced Beekeeper Course Thursday, February 27 from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Lee County Extension Office in Donnellson, IA.

Confinement site manure applicators should plan to attend a two-hour workshop offered by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to maintain or renew their confinement site manure applicator certification.  The Lee workshop will be offered on February 6 at 1:30 pm in Donnellson at the Pilot Grove Community Room.

Commercial manure applicators should plan to attend the Commercial Manure Applicator training program scheduled for Wednesday, January 8, 2020, from 9 a.m. to noon. Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in cooperation with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources will conduct the required three-hour training workshop at that time. There is no fee to attend the workshop, but commercial applicators must register by contacting the ISU Extension Lee County office at (319) 835-5116.
