Join Us For Extension Week!

ALGONA, Iowa – Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Week is April 16-21.  ISU Extension and Outreach works daily to connect the needs of Iowans with resources from Iowa State University. Our unique communities are what makes Kossuth County special.  Extension and Outreach in Kossuth County works to connect our communities with the research and resources of Iowa State University to make us a #STRONG IOWA and solve today’s problems and prepare for the future.  “ISU Extension and Outreach- Kossuth County will be stationed at locations around the county during Extension Week to visit community members!  Please stop in to one of our locations for refreshments and to visit with us,”  says Darcie Kramer, Program Coordinator at the Extension Office.  “We want to show our appreciation to the communities of Kossuth County for utilizing Extension and Outreach and let everyone know what we are all about.”  The schedule for the Extension week visits are as follows:   Monday, April 16:         7am-9am – Loofts on 9- Swea City             11am – 1pm – Farmers and Traders Savings Bank – Bancroft Tuesday, April 17:         7am-9am – Classic Stop – Algona 		            11am – 1pm – Iowa State Bank – Algona Wednesday, April 18:   7am-9am – Farmers State Bank – Whittemore 		            11am-1pm – Gold Eagle Coop - Wesley  Along with the community visits, Kossuth County Extension and Outreach plans to run social media trivia contests, live video feeds, and have drawings all week long.  “We want to have some fun, help people become more familiar with Extension and Outreach, and show our appreciation to our County,” Kramer says.  Kossuth County community members are encouraged to wear Iowa State or 4-H gear throughout the week to help Extension and Outreach raise awareness.
