August 15, 2019

4-H members going into 7-9th grade are invited to join our 4-H Brunch Club leadership group. Those going into 10-12th grade are also invited to apply for the 4-H County Council leadership group. Applications/signups are due Friday, August 30, via online forms. 

August 14, 2019

Join us September 21st for a fishing day camp for any youth entering 4-8th grade.

June 17, 2019

Join us for a Rabbit Showmanship and Classification Workshop on Monday, June 24, from 6-7:30 p.m. RSVP's due by June 21, 2019.

The 2019 Jones County Clothing Event was held Sunday, March 31, 2019, from 1-3 p.m. Entry forms were due to the Extension office by March 5, 2019. Stay tuned for results and the Style Show schedule to be held during the 2019 Great Jones County Fair!

Communication Event Report Forms - - 2019 Great Jones County Fair

The Communication Event is scheduled for April 6, 2019, from 1:30-4 p.m. at the Jones County Extension and Outreach Office, 800 N. Maple Street, Monticello, IA 52310. Working Exhibits will be done during the Great Jones County Fair — not on Communication Day, and those forms are due by July 1, 2019.

  • Youth and teens can discover opportunities to be recognized for personal growth, project learning, leadership and citizenship. 

  • A partner and leader in providing positive youth development through out-of-school programming. Outreach priorities include curriculum development, staff training, and partnership development.

  • Clover Kids is a FUN 4-H program for children in kindergarten through third grade. Children participate in hands-on activities designed to build many life skills!
