Iowa State University Community Vitality Center Director and Department of Economics faculty member Mark Edelman presented "Iowa Rural Equity Project: Alternative Models for AgTech & Rural Angel Investor Networks," as one of three presentations that including discussion of Ames Seed Capital Fund VII and the "Countryside Angels" initiative by Ag Ventures Alliance during the "Rural Capital and Innovations" session of the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Rural Development Symposium at the Gateway Conference Center in Ames, IA. on August 15, 2019.
Iowa State University Professor and Extension Ag Economist Mark Edelman presented a seminar titled “Alternative Models used by AgTech Angel Investor Networks in the U.S. Midwest,” to Egyptian Angel Investor networks in Cairo, Egypt, on June 17, 2019, as part of a weeklong Innovate Egypt workshop series for Egyptian angel investors, entrepreneur teams, and university entrepreneurial ecosystem stakeholders.
(Ames, IA) Rural stakeholders interested in learning about Iowa’s emerging rural investor networks for agricultural technology startups and strategic rural ventures are invited to view a new website and video series titled, “Strategies for Rural Angel Investing.” The website and video series is being launched as an Iowa State University Extension and Outreach initiative and is part of a grant sponsored project called the Iowa Rural Equity Project (IREP).
Rural stakeholders interested in learning about Iowa’s emerging rural investor networks for agricultural technology startups and strategic rural ventures are invited to a new educational workshop titled, “Strategies for Angel Investing.” The workshop is organized by an ISU Extension and Outreach initiative called the Iowa Rural Equity Project (IREP) and will be hosted by local extension offices in in twenty rural counties across Iowa in 2019.
