Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.

Youth Mental Health First Aid

Young adults can experience mental health and addiction challenges. This course introduces common mental health challenges for youth and reviews typical adolescent development. You will learn a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations.

Intended audience: Adults who work with youth (ages 6-18)
Format: 8-hour certification training

Select trainings are offered online. Participants must complete a 2-hour online course prior to the 6-hour virtual training offered through Zoom. To register, select a date listed in Upcoming Events. All times are CDT.
