4-H & Youth

Iowa 4-H Youth Development is the premier youth development program of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. Providing research-based education to K-12 youth, Iowa 4-H focuses on Healthy Living, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), Leadership and Civic Engagement, and Communication and the Arts. Lego Day Camp

Engineering & Coding LEGO® Camp is focused on STEAM-based learning. Kids will learn the basics of robotics, designing, building, and programming LEGO® SPIKE™ creations in this fun, hands-on day-camp.

June 22nd, 9am-3pm

Held at the Hardin County Extension Office, ECC Ag Center Room 110, 709 Ellsworth Ave, Iowa Falls

$10 registration fee for current 4-H members, $15 for non-members

This is open to any youth who have completed grades 3rd-6th.

Youth will:

  • Build and program LEGO® creations using block coding and the LEGO® Education SPIKE™ App
  • Participate in team-building activities and group challenges
  • Practice their logical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Learn the fundamentals of programming and algorithmic thinking
