December 5, 2018

A forum “Cover Crops: A Positive Contributor to Soil Health and Water Quality”, will be held Tuesday, December 18, 5:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., at the Ellsworth Community College Ag Center. Registration starts at 4:45 p.m. with a complimentary meal at 5:00 p.m. Keynote speaker will be Loran Steinlage from West Union, a widely recognized innovator in cover cropping.

The Hardin County Extension office is searching for a Summer 4-H Youth Assistant.  Work includes assisting county extension staff with summer 4-H and Clover Kids camps and programs, county fair preparation and general office duties.  4-H experiance is preferred but not required.   Candidates must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and be available to work during the entire Hardin County Fair.

The Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation makes grants to IRS 501(c) (3) tax exempt organizations, 170(c)(1) units of government, and/or other “501” charitable groups to fulfill the Foundation’s mission of supporting worthwhile, innovative projects and programs.
