Beef cow-calf producers recognize the importance of staying informed on all aspects of their operation. The second of a four-part webinar series from Iowa Beef Center will help them do just that. The session will be Wed. Jan. 22, from 6 to 8 pm, and focuses on calving time management.

Confinement manure applicators needing to recertify and those wanting to certify for the first time should attend the Confinement Manure Applicator’s Workshop scheduled on Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., at the Hardin County Extension Office in Iowa Falls. Registration begins at 6:00 p.m. and there is no fee to attend.  Hardin County ISU Extension Office at ph. 641-648-4850 or toll free 1-888-648-5005.

Two meetings on the 2018 Farm Bill will be held Tuesday afternoon, January 28, 1:30-3:30 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora and Wednesday evening, January 29, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., in Hamilton Auditorium on the Ellsworth Community College campus in Iowa Falls. Presenters will be Kelvin Leibold, Iowa State University Extension Farm Management Field Specialist and Sandy Hoversten, Executive Director for Hardin County Farm Service Agency.

For the fifteenth year, we are pleased to offer a Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation (HCCEF) Grant Application.
The Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation makes grants to IRS 501(c) (3) tax exempt organizations, 170(c)(1) units of government, and/or other “501” charitable groups to fulfill the Foundation’s mission of supporting worthwhile, innovative projects and programs. Grant amounts are dependent upon the allocation of funds available to HCCEF each fiscal year. The application deadline is February 3, 2020.
