Commercial Pesticide Applicators Continuing Education Fall Training will be held at the Hardin County Extension office in Iowa Falls.  Pre-Registration forms may be emailed to bonewitz@iastate.edu or by mailing the registration form to Hardin County Extension, 524 Lawler St., Iowa Falls, IA 50126. Pre-registrations will pay $35.00 payable to Hardin County Extension on the date of the program by cash or check (no electronic payments). Late Registrations will be required to pay $45.00.  Please try to arrive about 10 minutes early before the program for paperwork.

Hardin County ISU Extension is offering a “train-the-trainer” program on financial empowerment on Wednesday, October 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Hardin County ISU Extension Office at 524 Lawler Street in Iowa Falls. The program is “Your Money, Your Goals,” a financial empowerment toolkit that provides frontline workers with resources and tools to help their clients take steps towards financial stability and self-sufficiency.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will host eleven Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training meetings from November 2019 through March 2020, including one in Iowa Falls, on Nov. 7. The training sessions are for fruit and vegetable growers interested in learning about produce safety, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule, and Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs). The cost for the workshop is $20 for Iowa residents and $120 for out-of-state growers.

For the fifteenth year, we are pleased to offer a Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation (HCCEF) Grant Application.
The Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation makes grants to IRS 501(c) (3) tax exempt organizations, 170(c)(1) units of government, and/or other “501” charitable groups to fulfill the Foundation’s mission of supporting worthwhile, innovative projects and programs. Grant amounts are dependent upon the allocation of funds available to HCCEF each fiscal year. The application deadline is February 3, 2020.
