The Plant Management Network has just posted a webcast by Dr. Adam Baker (recent PhD from our lab) and related study guide and slides on the topic of "Building a better monarch butterfly garden".

All of west central Iowa is currently under a moderate to extreme drought. The drought conditions are causing major concerns for both crop and livestock producers. To compound this situation the Derecho weather event has caused significant damage to crops and infrastructure across the area. To help address those concerns, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be hosting a Virtual Ag Coffee Meeting on September 9th  at 9:00 am. This event will be a live webinar presentation and have 11 in person viewing locations across West Central Iowa.

Iowa's pig farmers continue to battle against economic situations that are causing an expected average loss in 2020 of $37 per pig. When added up, that's a $2.1 billion loss to the 5,400 pig farmers around the state.

That's why the Iowa Pork Industry Center and Iowa Pork Producers Association have developed a Producer Recovery Webinar Series focusing on information producers can use to find opportunities for making key decisions in this difficult time.
