Healthy and Homemade Workshop Series


If you're looking for ideas on how to eat healthy and make the most of the time you spend in the kitchen, this workshop series is for you!  Join Ann Parker, ISU Extension and Outreach Human Sciences Specialist in Nutrition and Wellness for a three-part series scheduled for September 10th, 17th, and 24th from 5:30-6:30 pm at ISU Extension and Outreach- Greene County.

 Greene County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach hosts Farm Succession Workshop

JEFFERSON – Greene County ISU Extension and Outreach and Iowa Corn Growers Association, Greene County will host a two night Farm Succession Workshop. This program will be September 4 and September 5, 2019, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Greene County Extension office.  Registration fee is $50 per person or $175 for a family of four.  This covers light meals at 5:30pm each night. To register, call the Extension and Outreach office in Jefferson, 515-386-2138. Space is limited and registration deadline is August 28th.

<GREENE> - Devastating disasters like a flood or a tornado are a vivid reminder of life’s uncertainty. Have you ever wondered what you would do if you had to leave your home suddenly? What would you grab if you only had minutes to escape? Make your own grab-and-go file case so that family members can quickly “grab it and go.”

Who is eligible? 
Elementary (K-5) educators, teacher librarians/media specialists, or other school staff serving an elementary school who complete the Small Change: Building Financial Literacy course are eligible to request a set of the 21 storybooks used in the Financial Literacy Lesson Plans – Grades K-5 (
curriculum published by ISU Extension in early 2019.
