In today's world, food safety is one of animal producers' biggest responsibilities. With over 15,000 Iowa 4-H'ers enrolled in livestock projects, about 17 million pounds of meat is produced each year.

The goal of this program is to help youth and their parents better understand what they can do to produce the safest food possible.

In Person YQCA offered March 9th at 5PM or May 4th at 5PM

YQCA Registration

To Access Web-Based Training:

  1. Log on to www.yqcaprogram.org
  2. Select a course on the home page based on the member's current age
  3. Purchase the web-based training course for $12 with a debit or credit card
  4. Complete the pre-test on the "Enrolled Trainings" page
  5. Complete the course at your own pace before May 15th
  6. Complete the post course survey
  7. Download and save your certification

To Register for Face-to-Face Training:

  1. Log on to www.yqcaprogram.org
  2. Select a course on the homepage based on the member's current age
  3. Purchase the instructor-led training course for $3 and pay with a debit or credit card
  4. Complete the course pre-test on the "Enrolled Trainings" page
  5. Attend in person training - arrive 15 minutes early
  6. Take the post test
  7. Download and save your certification
