It’s the time of year when farmland leases come up for review. This workshop will guide landowners and renters through the process of finding the right kind of lease for their situation. The workshop will be led by Kelvin Leibold, Iowa State University Extension Farm Management Specialist.

Master Conservationist

Iowa Master Conservationist is a class that is being planned for this summer with workshops at various locations in Floyd, Franklin, and Cerro Gordo Counties.

The summer educational program, Clover Kids, for all Franklin County school age children who have completed Kindergarten through 3rd grades will begin soon in the four communities of Geneva, Hampton, Latimer, and Sheffield.  Also check out Camp Opportunities!

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, in cooperation with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS), provides training and certification programs for applicators in Iowa.  Fall classes will be available at the Franklin County Extension office, 3 First Ave NW, Hampton.

4-H youth are learning about horticulture, history, farming practices and citizenship in the Soldier Garden at the Fort Museum in Fort Dodge. 4-H’ers have planted and are taking care of the garden with guidance from ISU Extension and Outreach Master Gardeners.
