  • Iowa State Fair:  August 13-23, 2020    (As COVID-19 safety considerations have led to the postponement of the 2020 Iowa State Fair, a decision on 4-H youth learning exhibits is still underway.)

Our office will be closed to the public until further notice. Staff are still able to take your calls and respond to email. Many of our resources can be found online at our website www.extension.iastate.edu/franklin. If you need to drop something off you may use our drop box or leave it in the entryway. If you need to pick something up please call our office to make arrangements, 641-456-4811.

Franklin County Extension and Outreach is partnering with the Hampton-Dumont Middle School to host the “Things That Fly” Rocket Camp. We will have many fun activities such as, the importance of native birds, building bird houses, and learning about how objects fly while launching rockets!
