One year after skyrocketing 29%, the average value of an acre of Iowa farmland jumped another 17%, or $1,660, to $11,411 per acre. The nominal value of an acre of farmland is again higher this year than at any point since Iowa State University began surveying values in 1941.

Confinement Site Manure Applicator Workshop Scheduled for Jan 26 in Fayette

Confinement site manure applicators and anyone interested in learning about manure issues should plan to attend a two-hour workshop offered by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in January or February 2023. These workshops are offered in cooperation with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. Registration is required. No walk-ins allowed.

IDALS Announces In-Person and Online Pesticide Applicator Testing Options and Fayette Other Counties in Iowa

The Department is partnering with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach to host in-person applicator testing sessions starting in September. In-person testing sites are in Black Hawk, Cerro Gordo, Dallas, Dubuque, Fayette, Jasper, Johnson, Jones, Scott, and Woodbury counties. In-person commercial and private applicator testing is free. Pre-registration is required.
