September 11, 2018

This afterschool program will introduce youth to engineering and the Engineering Design Process. Throughout the program, youth will learn about electrical engineering and work to engineer a light display that mimics the Northern Lights. Youth will engage in hands-on, real world engineering experiences and foster problem solving skills!

August 29, 2018

4-H members in grades 7-12 will have the opportunity to join other 4-Hers from Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Emmet, Kossuth, Sac, & Calhoun counties on an exciting trip to the Des Moines and Ames areas. Participants will ride in charter bus to travel to West Des Moines to participate in their first adventure at an escape room. They will continue their adventure to Ames to watch the ISU Cyclone Stampede Rodeo!

August 16, 2018

The 6th Annual 4-H Fun Run, a fundraiser for the Emmet County 4-H Foundation, is Saturday, October 6th at 4:00 PM! The run will kick-off at the Emmet County Fairgrounds. Events include a 1 mile run/walk, 4-mile relay (team of 4), and a 5K. NEW THIS YEAR is our THEME – “Saving the Day the 4-H Way!” All participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite super hero.

Emmet and Palo Alto County recently completed an Aging Needs Assessment. That project is being taken to the next phase but please check out what we learned and review the results of the needs assessment.
