Full time, ability to work some nights and weekends. ISU Extension and Outreach-Des Moines County seeks outgoing, creative, and energetic individual with strong technology, and marketing skills to work in a supportive team environment. Effective communication and public relation skills. Ability to coordinate educational programs. Experience with extension programming, handling organizational tasks. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2019 Community Dinner

4-H Community Dinner

The Des Moines County 4-H Community Dinner and Live Auction will be held as a fundraiser to support the Des Moines County 4-H Program. Please join us Thursday evening, March 14th, 2019, with the dinner served from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. The dinner will be held at the Barn on the Ridge, 14133 Irish Ridge Road, Burlington, Iowa.

ServSafe® Food Safety Certification Scheduled

If you are a Food Service Manager or worker and need to be certified for food safety, we have a class for you! The classes in our area are in February, March, April, May, and June. Registration and payments are now online!

Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training Scheduled

If you are a fruit and vegetable grower or interested in learning about produce safety, the Food Saety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule, Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), and co-management of natural resourced and food safety, we have a class for you! 11 meetings will be held across the state during the Fall of 2018 and Winter of 2019. A training will be held in Burlington at the Great Prairie AEA (3601 West Avenue) on Thursday, March 7, 2019.
