What is 4-H?
4-H is a community of 6 million young people across the world who are learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills to make good decisions for their future and their communities’ future. 4-H focuses on healthy living, leadership and civic engagement, science and technology, and communication and the arts through school programs, camps, events, and clubs.

Why Join 4-H?
Try new things you never thought you could do. Learn new things you didn’t even know existed. Make new friends with others you never thought you would get to know. Support your community in ways you didn’t know possible. Grow into the person you want to be!

Who can Join 4-H?
Any 4th-12th grader is eligible to join 4-H! Our typical enrollment period is from September 1st through May 1st. 4-H is a place where you can make new friends in your community and across the state!
Want to start earlier? Kids in kindergarten through 3rd grade can participate in Clover Kids, which offers hands on activities designed to build life skills and foster new friendships. Click here to learn more about Clover Kids.

Getting Started!
Interested in joining 4-H in Delaware County? Below are the steps to Join a 4-H Club. Take a look!
Step 1: Choose a Club! Delaware County has many clubs to choose from. You can choose a club that is in your area or a club that your friends are in! Look through the Club Listing to see all of the clubs, their meeting location, and the leaders of the clubs.
Step 2: Next, contact the leader of the club of your choice! Ask them what things they do in their club, when and where their club meetings are.
Step 3: Attend a club meeting and learn more about 4-H and that club!
Step 4: Enroll in 4-H! To enroll you must use our online enrollment system called 4H Online. Need assistance enrolling? Take a look at our Family Enrollment Helpsheet.
Step 5: After you have enrolled, continue attending club meetings and fulfill club and county duties as a member of Delaware County 4-H!
