The Dallas County Extension office is closed to the public until further notice. Staff are still available via phone or email

 
We take serving Iowans seriously which is why we are prioritizing the health and safety of our community and staff.

Dallas County Extension will postpone, cancel or hold virtually all activities, and are closing doors to the public from now until further notice and will re-evaluate at that time. Staff are working remotely and are available via phone or email. For questions contact our office at 515-993-4281.

Dog classes for obedience, showmanship and rally will begin on Monday, April 6.

It is now time to enroll for the 4-H year!  For those planning to show at the Dallas County Fair this July, 2019 the deadline to enroll is May 15 for all re-enrolling members to have fees paid and re-enrolled through 4HOnline.  

New members are welcome to join after May 15th, 2019 but will not be able to participate in the fair this summer.

Iowa 4-H supporters gathered n February 28 to celebrate and honor four award recipients at the 2020 Iowa 4-H Legacy Awards Gala. Dallas County 4-H'er Bryson Smith provided an interactive exhibit.. 

Communications Day
March 6, 2020

Youth will have the option of delivering before a judge and audience an educational presentation or a working exhibit. Or if they would like they may do both. Educational presentations provide 4-H’ers with the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge on a topic while working exhibits allow them to engage the audience in hands on learning.

ISU Extension and Outreach Dallas County is currently accepting applications for a Summer Program Assistant.  This temporary position will run between May and August 2020.
