It is now time to enroll for the 4-H year!  For those planning to show at the Dallas County Fair this July, 2019 the deadline to enroll is May 15 for all re-enrolling members to have fees paid and re-enrolled through 4HOnline.  

New members are welcome to join after May 15th, 2019 but will not be able to participate in the fair this summer.

Communications Day
February 24, 2020

Youth will have the option of delivering before a judge and audience an educational presentation or a working exhibit. Educational presentations provide 4-H’ers with the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge on a topic while working exhibits allow them to engage the audience in hands on learning.

Guide Training Certification
February 18, 2020

This program is specifically designed for staff and volunteers who lead guided programs at Iowa's diverse community tourism assets including but not limited to, museums, parks, conservation areas, historic sites, science centers, agritourism and other tourism related attractions.

Research shows that good literacy skills have a long-term impact on your child’s development! Reading proficiency by third grade is the most important predictor of high school graduation and career success. Also, children who have good literacy skills are less likely to experience grade retention or school failure, drop out, or exhibit delinquent behavior. When they become adults, they are less likely to be unemployed or underemployed.
