4-H Sleeping Bag Safari Trip to the Omaha Zoo

Join other 4-Her's from other counties on this fun filled overnight trip to the Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium.  Open to 4-Her's in 6th though 8th grade on April 4th & 5th, 2020.  Seats are limited for each county, get your registration in today!

A Journey Through Parkinson's Disease

 

This interactive program is designed to help participants to recongnize the symptoms of Parkinson's Diseasse (PD), understand what causes PD and how treatments work, and learn about therapeutic activities that can be done in the home. Three 1-hour sessions will be led by Cindy Thompson, human sciences specialist in family life.  Event is FREE, call Butler County Extension at 319-267-2707 to register.

Soil Test Interpretation & Recommendations: Maximizing Return on Investment-Cancelled

The cost of managing soil fertility is changing with the price of fertilizer and the increased demand for crop nutrients with higher crop yields.  Understanding soil fertility basics will help you manage crop nutrients better!  

February 28, 2020 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm with lunch served at Noon.  Registration is required by February 26.  To pre-register or if you have questions please contact Butler County Extension at 319-267-2707. Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a class designed to provide you—the family caregiver—with the skills you need to take care of yourself.
 
Six two-and-a-half hour class sessions held once a week are led by certified, experienced class leaders.

•Better communicate your feelings
•Improve self-confidence
•Increase ability to make tough decisions
•Balance your life
•Locate helpful resources
