If you want to help out a 4-H member or an FFA member you will need to fill out the mentor agreement. The reasons for having you on file is for insurance purposes in case something ever were to happen.

- Animal Disclosure Forms (Drug Affidavits)

If you plan on showing a market animal or a horse at the fair, make sure you have one of these forms filled out per species. Bring these documents to Fair check-ins on Wednesday, July 5th. Please call 319-334-7161 with questions!

- All FFA Livestock must be identified using the Fair Entry platform by May 15th. Livestock must then be officially verified on Fair Entry by June 15th to select classes.

YQCA Information

YQCA certification (formally known as FSQA) is being accepted by many livestock shows and fairs that require youth quality assurance certification. View the list below, but always check the entry requirements of each show for complete details.
YQCA training is required for youth showing the following food animals.
- Pigs
- Beef Cattle
- Dairy Cattle
- Sheep
- Goats
- Rabbits
- Poultry
YQCA is available as an online program for youth everywhere in the United States.
Buchanan County Exhibitors MUST take the training online ($12 fee) or an in-person session.

Goat Getters
The Buchanan County Goat Getters Program pairs 4-H and FFA members with special needs individuals to be a part of showing goats in a safe environment with guidance from the Buchanan County ISU Extension and Outreach staff and committee volunteers.
