• Hiring a EFNEP Program Assistant 1Position assists in conducting extension education programs by extending information such as meal planning, money management, nutrition, and human development to specifically identified audiences.  Apply here!

•  Youth Nutrition & 4-H Outreach Coordinator – Full time position engaging elementary age children in nutrition and wellness education before and after school. Also coordinates and supervises 4-H AmeriCorps members, outreach activities and summer internship students. STEM-Lit to Go! teaches young children about science, math, technology, engineering and literature through play.  Created by Iowa State University's School of Education. Congratulations to our 4-H award winners! Many 4-hers earned Record Book Keeping Awards for turning in a Record Book. Plus, many Project Awards where given for entering a Fair Project for 2 years or more along with filling out the award information paper work. Also, Excellence Awards where presented to the Senior 4-H members. Also, 4-H Alumni, Club Volunteer and Honorary Awards where given. Plus, special recognition for Leaders Years of Service! Many well deserved recipients were honored for their hard work!

Congratulations to our 2 Lions Club Winners at the Black Hawk Counties 4-H Award Banquet last Sunday night, they are Brooke Best and Will Fettkether! This award is given to outstanding 4-H club members who have developed an all-around 4-H experience. Winners have participated in a wide variety of projects, activities and demonstrated excellence in character and personal development!

And Congratulations to our Danforth "I Dare You" Award winner, Ellie Brown! The award is given to an individual who have demonstrated leadership qualities. The individual selected must have an alert and ever-growing minds, demonstrate community service, and possess excellence in character. See more winners here!

Beef cow-calf producers recognize the importance of staying informed on all aspects of their operation, and a new four-part webinar series from Iowa Beef Center will help them do just that. Iowa State University extension program specialist Beth Reynolds said the series is intended to provide timely topics for beef cow management and the opportunity to access the information when it's convenient for them, even if that means they cannot attend a meeting in person.
