Now is the perfect time to get a head start on identifying your animals for county fair and/or state fair! All livestock identification will be completed in 4hOnline2.0 including breeding beef, horses, dairy cattle, dairy goats, dogs, breeding meat goats, breeding sheep, breeding swine as well as market goats, market sheep, and market swine. All animal identification must be completed in 4hOnline2.0 by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, May 15.

Swine, sheep, and meat goat weigh-in animals will need to identify animals in 4hOnline2.0 with animal identification after attending the specific weigh-in.

Families are responsible for inputting the information into 4hOnline2.0 by the May 15 deadline, no exceptions. Help sheets are available at the Extension Office, 4HOnline ID Help sheets, and/or respective weigh-ins.

 Animal Identification Help Nights:

· Tuesday, May 7 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM, Allamakee County Extension Office

· Monday, May 13 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM, Allamakee County Extension Office

All fair livestock entries and stall requests will be completed via the Fair Entry system in 2024. Livestock entries, stall requests, and stall fees must by completed by Saturday, June 15.

*Please note our office will not be open on Saturday, June 15, however, will be open 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM on Friday, June 14 to assist families*

A help sheet to complete this process will be mailed to all 4-H and FFA families after the May 15 animal identification deadline. Help nights will also be shared in the March newsletter. The Fair Entry platform is tentatively scheduled to open for entries on Monday, May 20.

As a friendly reminder, registering via Fair Entry does not mean just requesting stalls for your livestock.
