Staff Spotlight: Ajay Nair
When he isn’t busy working with vegetable growers across the state to address the opportunities and challenges that they face during production, Extension Vegetable Specialist Ajay Nair enjoys his time as a singer in a local band and as a Bollywood drama actor.
Having graduated from Michigan State University in 2011, Nair got to experience the positive impact of the Extension system firsthand by working with vegetable growers across the state alongside his PhD advisor and mentor. When a similar position opened up at Iowa State in 2011, he knew it would be the perfect fit. Since 2011, he has enjoyed working with commercial vegetable growers in the state and help them develop sustainable cropping systems.
