4-H Communications and the Arts programs work to engage youth through hands-on experiences that connect to their lives and respond to their interests. 4-H programs develop skills in design, creative expression, and communication to teach creative and critical thinking, self-expression, and inspire kids to explore future career opportunities.
This program offers in-depth hands-on learning experiences with partner organizations, as well as self-directed project creation as a part of a reporting team at the State Fair.
4-H members can explore photography, digital storytelling, visual arts, music, and communications--then share their learning at county or state fair events.
4-H youth use and further develop written and spoken communication skills to apply and interview for statewide leadership opportunities and awards.
