Siouxland Garden Show "Back in Bloom"

The Siouxland Garden Show is returning to in-person fun this year. The event will run from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on April 1 & 2 at the Marriot Center in South Sioux City, Neb.

On Their Own & OK - the youth guide for staying home alone
January 20, 2022

On Their Own and OK is tailored for children in third through sixth grade and helps teach and strengthen skills in youth who care for themselves and/or siblings. A four-hour session of the program is coming to Woodbury County on Monday, February 21. Cost per youth is $10 and the course runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Children can attend the course at one of two locations: Hamann Memorial Public Library in Anthon or Bronson Park/Shelter House in Bronson.

Babysitter Certification Class

ISU Extension and Outreach - Woodbury County is hosting a two-day Babysitter Certificatino Class on December 28-29 for children in grades 4-11.

Holiday Gift Workshop

Children in grades 4-8 will have an opportunity to create the perfect gifts for their family at the Holiday Gift Workshop hosted by ISU Extension and Outreach - Woodbury County on December 8.

When prioritizing expenses, a major household bill is utilities (e.g., electricity, gas, water and sewer, landline and cell phone, and internet/cable). The highest utility cost is typically heating the home.
Plan for increasing home heating costs over the next six months as Utility providers are warning that they may increase these costs.
