Women Impacting Agriculture 2020 Nomination Form

Thank you for completing this nomination form and short essay. We appreciate your interest in sharing the story of a Woman Impacting Agriculture in Iowa! Nominations are accepted until 5:00 pm, Wednesday, October 28, 2020.

Applicant’s farming and/or agribusiness roles and accomplishments (approximately 200-400 words): Describe how the nominee impacts Iowa agriculture through her farming and/or agribusiness roles and accomplishments. Describe issues or topics important to the nominee. What is her job title and/or area of expertise? Who does she work with (family, employers, co-workers)? What contributions has she made to our rural economy (such as teaching or applying innovations for improving profitability, saving money, managing risks, or planning for the future)? How does she help support natural resource conservation (such as teaching or applying better tillage practices, reducing chemicals, managing manure, adding cover crops or buffer strips)? What leadership or responsibility roles does she have?  What is important to her and/or what accomplishments is she most proud of?

Connections to ISU (approximately 150-300 words): Describe the nominee's connections to Iowa State University or ISU Extension and Outreach. Consider listing one or more extension programs the nominee participated in (or presented at), describing her relationship with one or more extension professionals, or identifying her as ISU alumni, county council member, or other volunteer. 

Community and Volunteer activities (approximately 150-300 words): Describe the nominee’s community and volunteer activities. Include both agriculture and non-agriculture related activities. Be sure to include ag advocacy, agriculture agencies (USDA, IDALS, etc.) leadership roles, work with youth, service on ag commodity or other ag organizations, church, and/or school activities.
