Women Grain Marketing Workshop in Butler County - February 7, 2018

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach to Offer Women Grain Marketing Program

Nashua, Iowa – Area ISU Extension Services to offer a program for women on grain marketing February 7th at the Northeast Research and Demonstration Farm in the Borlaug Learning Center located southwest of Nashua. The address is 3327 290th Street, Nashua, IA.

Registration and refreshments will be at 8:45 a.m. and the program will start at 9:00 a.m. and end at noon.

Kelvin Leibold, ISU Extension and Outreach Farm Management Specialist will present the morning’s program.  Topics will include: understanding basis, calculating carry in the market, cost of storage, seasonal price trends, crop marketing tools, estimating cost of production and developing a crop marketing plan.

There is no fee for the program but please preregister by February 5th so materials will be available.

Directions to the Northeast Research and Demonstration Farm:
From Highway 218, take Exit 220 at Nashua, turn west on B-60 / 280th Street / Lexington Avenue and go for 1.5 miles. Turn left (south) on Windfall Avenue and go for 1 mile to 290th Street. Turn left (east) and go to the farm. The farm is located at 3327 290th Street, Nashua, IA.
