Top Six Reasons to Visit Women in Ag at the Farm Progress Show

Visit Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Women in Ag at the ISU tent located at Central and 7th Avenues during the Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, August 30 to September 31.

  1. MEET WOMEN IMPACTING THE LAND:
    • Have fun meeting eight amazing Iowa women and visiting with them about their conservation experiences.
  2. CELEBRATE WOMEN’S ROLES:
    • Join us at noon each day at the ISU stage just outside the ISU tent for a 15-minute recognition program honoring the Women Impacting the Land and recognizing women’s roles in agriculture.
    • Two to three Women Impacting the Land will be honored each day:
      • Tuesday - Nancy Bohl Bormann, Jean Driscoll and Amy Petersen.
      • Wednesday - Cathy Ayers, Cathy Dice, and April Hemmes.
      • Thursday – Jenni Peters and Julie Walters.
  3. PICK-UP A NOTEBOOK:
    • This 170 page Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Women in Ag notebook will fit in your purse and was designed by our very own ISU student assistant, Morgan Ball!
  4. GET INSPIRED:
    • Check out our video monitor to watch one or maybe even all eight of the short films highlighting the stories of the Women Impacting the Land!
  5. BE REALLY SOCIAL:
    • Join the conversations on Facebook and Twitter (even if you can’t be there in person!) using hashtags #WomeninAg and #IowaStateFPS. See what others are saying on our social media monitor.
  6. TALK WITH EXTENSION:
    • Get to know four different Extension specialists each day who regularly reach out to women in agriculture. Let us know what more we can do for you!
