Seven amazing women who impact Iowa agriculture were recognized at the inaugural Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Women in Ag Leadership Conference on November 28, 2017. All of these women were nominated for this award by an Iowa State University Extension and Outreach professional who has recognized the positive impact these women have in their community.
Seven Iowa women were recognized at the inaugural Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Women in Ag Leadership Conference held November 28, 2017 in Ames, Iowa. The 2017 Women Impacting Agriculture were honored for making positive changes and creating a more sustainable Iowa by improving economic resiliency and stability, conserving natural resources, and being influential agricultural leaders, family members and community volunteers.
On Tuesday Nov. 28, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach’s Women in Ag Program will be holding its inaugural Leadership Conference. The primary session will be preceded by a series of intensive workshops that will be conducted on Monday Nov. 27.

Strengthening Women’s Leadership in Agriculture

Students at Iowa State University have an opportunity to participate in a new course this semester called Women in Agriculture and the Food System (SOC350X).
The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Women in Ag Leadership Conference will be held on November 26-27, 2018 at the Iowa State Center – Scheman Building in Ames, Iowa. The cost to participate in all conference activities and meals is $30.00 for students and $60.00 for all others. The conference theme is "The Conversations of Leadership."
