Ag Education Top Priority for Garrington

Cortney Garrington was recognized with a County Professional Excellence award on April 3, 2018. The award, bestowed on her by ISU Extension and Outreach to Agriculture and Natural Resources, recognizes agricultural teaching excellence and outstanding responsiveness to the needs of agricultural clients.

A dynamo of innovation and responsiveness, Cortney began her service as the Executive Director of ISU Extension and Outreach in Warren County in 2015. An Osceola County 4Her, graduate of Iowa State University, and former high school agricultural teacher; Cortney brings the research and resources of the university to those who live and work in Warren County. 2017 Women Impacting Agriculture Recognized at Women in Ag Leadership Conference

Seven Iowa women were recognized at the inaugural Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Women in Ag Leadership Conference held November 28, 2017 in Ames, Iowa. The 2017 Women Impacting Agriculture were honored for making positive changes and creating a more sustainable Iowa by improving economic resiliency and stability, conserving natural resources, and being influential agricultural leaders, family members and community volunteers.
