(STANHOPE, IOWA) – Prairie Rivers of Iowa and the Women, Food, and Agriculture Network are co-sponsoring a workshop for female landowners in and around the Squaw Creek Watershed. This FREE workshop, titled Women Caring for the Land ℠ will take place Thursday, April 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Stanhope Community Center (600 Main St. Stanhope, Iowa, 50246).
Participants will enjoy a morning session of introductions and presentations about resource sharing, soil health information, and conservation planning. After a lunch catered by Patsy’s Place, participants will visit a local farmer to see how conservation practices can be implemented on the land. Please bring appropriate clothing and footwear for this portion of the workshop.
