Iowa State University Extension and Outreach expanded its commitment to serving and connecting with women in agriculture. The new ISUEO “Women in Agriculture” program began July 1, 2015 and builds on the success of the Annie’s Project: Farm Business Management courses. Over the next five years, we plan to develop and offer more comprehensive educational opportunities for women in agriculture.
The Iowa women we serve are farmers, agribusiness leaders, community volunteers, family communicators, and visionaries of tomorrow’s rural landscapes. They are influential decision makers. As educators, our vision is to work together to develop new programs and create strong connections among learners. Through courses, peer groups, online networks and special events, we encourage women in agriculture to increase their knowledge and take important actions towards improving their lives and enhancing Iowa agriculture.
