A Model for Professional Development: Annie’s Project National Educator Conferences

Extension educators from across the country talk about the importance of Annie's Project in empowering women in agriculture. Annie's Project educators met in July of 2014 and September of 2015 for professional development training. The educators were able to learn from Ruth Hambleton, Founder of Annie's Project, as well as Madeline Schultz, former National Co-Director of Annie's Project. Several past participants shared their stories and told educators the impact the Annie's Project course had on their farm businesses, and even how it catapulted some of them in professional directions they might not have otherwise considered. Each of the training session events were inspirational and brought educators together from more than 20 states.
