4-H Youth Development

4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential working and learning in partnership with caring adults. Membership in a 4-H club provides youth opportunities to develop skills and meaningful relationships they will carry with them throughout their lives. 4-H clubs participate in programming in these four program priority areas:
Healthy Living
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)
Citizenship and Leadership
Communication and the Arts

Once you’ve found your club, register through 4-H Online. Enrollment is from September 15th through November 30th, with a fee of $5 per 4-H youth (grades 4-12) and $5 per Clover Kid (grades K-3). Program fees support the county and state 4-H program. If you feel that this fee would constitute an undue financial burden, financial aid is available from the Iowa 4-H Foundation.
Returning 4-H members must re-enroll every year by November 30th inorder to exhibit livestock at county fair. New members have until March 1st of each year to enroll and exhibit most animals at county fair.

The purpose of Mid Iowa Cooperative policy is to provide complete support to 4-H and Future Farmers of America (FFA). In lieu of purchasing animals at the various state or county fairs, they believe support to all members equally is the most beneficial practice. Apply for a Sponsorship now!
