This workshop will include discussion about the use of oak additives and barrel alternatives, as well as strategies and philosophies for blending wines. The afternoon portion will focus on hands-on exercises, including tasting commercially available wines, tasting contrasting wine components, making blends, and using liquid oak products.
Attendees are encouraged to bring tank or barrel samples of their own wines if they would like to use them in the blending exercises. Example wines will also be provided for class use.
The workshop will be presented by MGWII staff.
