YQCA Training and Livestock Extravaganza

YQCA banner

3rd-12th grade members showing beef (market, breeding, feeder/bucket calves, etc.), sheep, swine, poultry, rabbits, dairy and/or goats must have a current YQCA certification to show at the fair.
YQCA (Youth Quality Care of Animals) must be completed each year by July 1st.  Fair Entry will not let you register beef, sheep, swine, poultry, rabbits, dairy and/or goats without a current YQCA certification.
Members may attend a face to face training or may complete the training online.  The cost for the face to face training is $3.00.  If you are a West Pottawattamie 4-H'er, make sure to contact the office or email us at jenvin@iastate.edu to obtain a $3.00 coupon code (which will make the face to face training free).  The cost of the online training is $12.00.  Coupon codes for the online training have not been purchased for this year, so members would be responsible for the entire $12.00 cost of the online training.  Members can complete either training to be certified.
The West Pottawattamie face to face training will be held at Westfair on Thursday, June 3rd.  Members must register through YQCA to attend the training.  4-H'ers should go to www.yqca.org to register using their 4-H Online sign in information.
