Schedule of events includes:  Money Museum, tour Kauffman Stadium, explore downtown KC and Crown Center.  Participants will also visit the Marble Factory, Jesse James' home, see a Planetarium show and round out their evenings with swimming, bowling, laser tag, defy gravity, playing games and hanging out with friends.
Space is limited to 47 youth!
We are looking for chaperones for the trip also.  Chaperones must fill out the chaperone application and submit it to Sherry Ford by March 9th.  A chaperone application can be found HERE.  Chaperones who are selected will be notified shortly after the March 9th deadline.
Don't forget that West Pottawattamie members can use their $100 educational award towards the cost of the trip.
**New for 2018:  If a member would like to use their educational award towards the cost of the trip, they can do one of two things:
1.  Submit two checks - one for the amount of the educational award ($100) and one for the remainder cost of the trip ($125 before March 9 or $150 after March 9).  The educational award check ($100) will be held at the office and not cashed.  The member/family will receive the $100 educational award check back upon completion of the trip.
2.  Submit a check for the full trip amount and then request a check for the educational award ($100).  After the completion of the trip, the member/family will be mailed a check for the educational award reimbursement.  Note:  If you choose to receive your educational award as a check mailed to you, there may be a delay in payment, as checks are only processed once a month.
Anyone with questions on the new procedures for the educational awards should contact the Extension Office at 712-366-7070 or email
Get registered soon!  Space is sure to fill fast!
