Due to the weather the State Fair Awards and Hall of Fame presentations will be postponed until Friday, July 20, at 6:00 pm in the basement of Dallmeyer Hall on the fairgrounds.

Several openings remain for a Babysitting Basics Training Course to help youth learn how to be responsible babysitters. Topics to be covered include employer expectations, caring for infants and young children, age appropriate toys and activities, safety, emergency, and first aid procedures.  Click here.

Washington County Extension welcomes new summer staff members.  Madison Sheetz of Keota is the Summer Day Camp Coordinator.  Emma Eubanks of Wayland is the 4-H Summer Intern.  They both bring experience with 4-H and education to the Washington County program.

A veterinary feed directive (VFD) is a written statement given to an animal owner by a veterinarian that is similar to a prescription.  Youth must obtain a VFD order from their veterinarian to get the VFD feed.  Click here for guide.
