Southeast Iowa Draft Horse & Mule Association the 2nd  annual 4-H Horse Driving Clinic

 
With assistance from the Horse & Pony 4-H Club parents, leaders and the Southeast Iowa Draft Horse & Mule Association the 2nd  annual 4-H Horse Driving Clinic will be held at the Washington County Fairgrounds.  This event will be held in conjunction with the 4-H Pancakes and More Breakfast on the fairgrounds April 18.  Youth may register to attend the clinic from 10 a.m – noon or 1pm-3pm.  Youth will be paired with their own hitched draft horse team and an experienced teamster to help train youth.  The clinic will include harnessing demonstrations, hitching demonstrations, driving clinic and end with a driving class competition.
 
This unique opportunity is open to Washington County 4-H youth enrolled for the 2019-2020 4-H year or Horse & Pony Club alumni.  Youth do not have to be a Horse & Pony member to participate and learn.  Pre-registration required online by April 1 at  https://tinyurl.com/4Hhorsedriving2020
 
Free to participate.  Youth must wear jeans, boots/close-toed shoes and riding helmet.
