4-H Production Weigh-in Held Starts Production Swine Projects

Washington County 4-H members weighed-in production swine projects on Saturday, March 27 for the 2021 Washington County Fair marking the official state date of their project.
23 4-H members weighed in 120 gilts and barrows were weighed in for the production classes and 33 additional barrows were weighed for the single source commercial swine class.
4-H members with these market pigs must identify these animals in 4hOnline by May 15.  Any breeding animals need to be entered into 4hOnline accounts by May 15 as well.  Staff at the Extension Office can assist with this important if needed.
Thank you to the swine families and superintendent Ryan Gerot and fair board member Dean Sieren who assisted with the weigh-in.  Sieren Swine Farms of Keota coordinates pigs for the single source swine class.
