4-H Junior Day Camp Open for Registration

Jr 4-Hers at Crooked Creek

Washington County 4-H is excited to open registration for a modified version of the traditional regional 4-H Jr Camp hosted each year.  This year, taking safety precautions into consideration, junior camp will not be overnight but has been set into a one-day camp environment hosted at Crooked Creek Camp outside Washington.   There will identical programming offered June 8 and June 9.   Current 4-H members 4th-6th grade are invited to register for one of those days and experience the outdoors, learn some new skills, make 4-H friends and memories for a lifetime.
 
This day camp will run 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from camp.   Participants will experience fishing, canoeing, outdoor nature water slides, pottery, survival skills, and more.  This camp is hosted by Region 19 counties including Washington, Johnson, Keokuk and Iowa county.
 
Registration is $40 with an optional pre-made lunch for additional $10.  Scholarships available upon request to amygreen@iastate.edu.  Limited space available. First come, first serve registration or until deadline of May 1.
