Update: Tuition assistance program

June 25, 2020

Recently University senior leaders decided that beginning in the fall semester and thereafter, the university's employee tuition reimbursement program will be limited to Iowa State courses. Non-ISU courses no longer will be reimbursed. (See the article in today’s Inside Iowa State.) This decision does not affect reimbursements from the Vice President for Extension and Outreach Tuition Assistance Program.

We will continue our current policy of reimbursing employees for tuition to Iowa State as well as other institutions. Iowa State coursework is reimbursed at one-half the Iowa State regular in-state tuition rate. Non-Iowa State coursework is reimbursed at one-half the institution’s rate per credit OR one-half the Iowa State regular in-state tuition rate, whichever is the lesser cost per credit.
