Mitch Hoyer is currently serving as Interim Program Leader for the Iowa 4-H Program. He has 34 years of experience serving in multiple positions as an ISU Extension and Outreach employee, 21 of these on the state staff for 4-H Youth Development. He started his extension career as a county agriculturist in Winnebago County, later transitioning to a county extension education director in Humboldt County and serving as a state 4-H program specialist working with risk management and program policy. He was also the 4-H Exhibits Building and communication events superintendent at the Iowa State Fair for more than 20 years. Prior to assuming the Interim role, Mitch served as senior manager for the 4-H Program.
