Vegetable Production Equipment Field Day
Are you new to growing vegetables? Are you wondering what equipment you should purchase now to make your life easier and what can wait? ISU Extension and Outreach and the Iowa Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association invite you to attend the Vegetable Production Equipment Field Day April 8th from 2 to 4 pm at the Horticulture Research Station. The station staff will demonstrate and have on display the various hand equipment and machinery that small vegetable farmers frequently use. We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each tool, how to operate it, and where to purchase them.
The field day is free to attend but to help us prepare, pre-registration is requested by emailing Ajay Nair (nairajay@iastate.edu) or Joe Hannan at jmhannan@iastate.edu.
The Horticulture Research Station is located at 55519 170th St, Ames, IA. This field day is sponsored by ISU Extension and Outreach and the Iowa Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association.
