Graduate Student

Carly Strauser is a current graduate student pursuing a Master's Degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Horticulture. Her research will look at tarping efficacy in direct-seeded vegetable crops. Using a silage tarp material to heat the soil and suppress weeds prior to planting. She will be examining the type and length of weed suppression the practice has, while also looking at the effect tarping has on soil health and microbiology.
