The last few weeks have been busy for the Iowa State Turf Club, while many of the members are off on internships several turf students in Ames have been busy fundraising for next year's activities. The money will help to support travel to both the Sports Turf Managers Student Challenge and the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America Turf Bowl, along with some other educational trips throughout the year.
Over 3,000 square feet of sod was installed at Reiman Gardens on June 20th by Iowa State Turf Club members. Area's of tall fescue and Kentucky bluegrass sod were installed in parts of the garden that had been under construction.

On June 28th John Deere and Van Wall Golf and Turf donated a HPX John Deere Gator to the Iowa State Turf Club to sell. Iowa State Research and Demonstration Farm's bought the Gator from the ISU Turf Club and will use the Gator at one of the Research Farms.
