SWITCH (School Wellness Integration Targeting Children’s Health) is an evidence-based, ISU trademarked, program designed to help schools promote healthy lifestyles through school-based wellness programming.
SWITCH is an evidence-based obesity prevention program designed to help students adopt healthy lifestyles – both in school and at home. Through SWITCH, students learn to ‘switch what they Do, View, and Chew’.

SWITCH is designed to directly assist schools in meeting USDA Guidelines for school wellness. The focus is on building capacity helps to ensure that schools can sustain programming over time.
SWITCH empowers school leaders to activate and integrate school wellness programming and engages children AND parents in the process. Training is provided to an appointed SWITCH implementation team in the school (typically 3 leaders) of leaders who then work to promote adoption and utilization through the school.
